it is divided by 4 and the remainder = 3
n = 4k + 3 (1)
Multiply this equation by 2
2n = 8k + 6
We have to divide 2n by 4
2n/4 = (8k+ 6)/4 now 8k is completely divisible by 4
SO remainder would be Re(6/4) = 2
Thus when 2n is divided by 4 , the remainder = 2 .
