A career in astrophysics requires a strong understanding of physics and mathematics concepts. Doing a reserach fellowship in astrophysics is a comparatively longer journey as compared to other careers, but if you are keen to pursue it then nothing can stop you.
You should do BE or BTech(Engineering) or BSc in electronics or physics.
In some universities like Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar University, Aurangabad, and the University of Chennai, astrophysics is taught as a subject in graduation also. If you are living in any of these cities, it will be a good idea to join BSC in these colleges.
Once you complete your graduation.To get a research fellowship, you need to also do post graduation in the same. Once you are a post graduate you can appear for JEST entrance exam. Based on your performance in this exam, you will be called for research fellowships from
