After falling for 5 m, the speed of the ball is 0 + 2(g)(5) (using v

+ 2as) = 100 m/s. The ball is stopped after travelling for 0.1m.
Therefore, again using v

= u

+ 2as, we have - 0 = 100

- 2a(0.1). So, a = 10000/0.2= 50000 m/s
