    Sol. Simply it is a question of sum of n terms

    we have given,

    5000 = 10/2 [2a +9.(100)]

    1000 =2a +900

    2a= 100
    a = 50
    Now , for (ii) part

    A =8/2[2(50)+ 700] {from above}

    a =4[100+700]
    =4[800]
    A= 3200 Rs.
