JMET-2011 Analysis

JMET 2011 (for admission into IITs’batch starting 2011) was conducted on Sunday, 12th Dec, 2010. Like last years’ papers there was no surprise in the paper. It was a mix of easy to moderate difficulty level questions, hence maximizing the number of attempts was important. Sectional cut-offs were also set to be quite low, so it was important to spend more time with one’s comfort zone. Out of total 120questions, one should have attempted 90-95 in order to be at a safe score of around 80, which ideally should be the cut-off for admission into IITs this year. One change, however, which could be noticed in this year’s JMET was, good number of moderate difficulty level questions.

Here is the overall pattern of JMET and the distribution of sectional cut-offs:

Total Number of Questions: 120
Total Number of Sections: 4
