The entrance test for Indian Institute of Rural Management, Anand took place on Sunday, 14th Nov, 2010. The Test contained a total of 200 questions divided in four sections: English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, and Analytical Reasoning & Issues of Social Concern.

The marking scheme was +1 (for every correct answer) and a negative mark of ΒΌ in case the answer was wrong. Every question had 5 answer choices.

The level of questions varied from Easy to Moderate. There were no surprise questions. The only surprising element was IRMA Test being conducted second after CAT. Like the last few years IRMA tests, section on Social Awareness only will decide the fate of students.

English Comprehension section included questions on Fill in the Blanks, Appropriate phrase in sentence, Para- Jumbles and Passage on Water privatization (with 15 questions). The cut-off for this section is expected to be around 16-20.

The Quantitative Ability section included questions like Approximations, Permutations & Combination, Probability, Percentages, Numbers, PPL, SI/CI, Partnerships, Ratio Proportion, and Mensuration etc. The cut-off score should be around 20-24.
In analytical reasoning, the cut-offs are expected to be around 24-26 similar to the 25 marks of last year.

In Social Awareness, most questions were on Indian economic policies, poverty, unemployment, rural sector, primary sector & mining. One could have afforded to give around 15-20 minutes to this section. The cut off would be around 22-24.
