A person who has completed basic training would be very favourably placed to get a good job in the call centres across country. As mentioned earlier most of the institutes have very strong tie ups with different companies to the extent of some of these institutes handling the recruitment for these companies. Hence a degree from the better institutes would come with an assured placement.  On the other hand without such a degree there is a chance that you might start your career at a company that pays much less and work that is not preferred by others.


Career path in Call Centre and BPO Industry?
Normally you will join a call centre as a customer care executive in any particular project. As you gain experience you will take up different challenging and stimulating roles. The nomenclature may differ from company to company but a generic hierarchy is
•    Team Lead
•    Project Lead
•    Project Manager
•    Process Manager
•    Trainer
•    Training manager and so on

Usually candidates with suitable attributes and two years of experience as a agent become a team leader and from there on it is more competence than tenure based, in fact more so that most industries. If you can perform you will get promoted.

As far as salaries are concerned freshers get anywhere Rs.8,000 to Rs.15,000 per month depending on the company and their skill maturity. Team leads generally get up to 26,000 pm. Managers and heads can get salaries ranging from 5 lacs per annum to 12 lacs per annum depending on their function and the targets they meet.  Experienced professionals and subject matter experts are paid even higher. There is a large performance-based incentive attached to the salary too.
