CAT 2010 - Quick Overview

CAT 2010 consisted of 60 questions to be completed in 120 minutes. Three sections Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability & Data Interpretation had 20 questions each. Essentially CAT 2010 was on the lines of CAT 2009. The difficulty level of Quantitative Aptitude was a lot more difficult than that in CAT 2009. Data Interpretation involved lots of calculations and Verbal Ability difficulty level was same as that in CAT 2009.

As per topCATcoaching.com faculty analysis, an aspirant should have attempted 15 questions in each section. Further 11 correct questions in each section would guarantee a call from IIMs and 12 correct questions would almost guarantee you a seat in at least one of the  IIMs (assuming average performance in gd/pi).

Overall there were no technical glitches this time and the entire test taking experience was smooth and well planned. It seems that IIMs & Prometric have finally nailed down the BIG CAT called "The Online CAT".
